Sofia Bartholdy

Sofia joined the Church Commissioners for England as Net Zero Lead in June 2022. Her responsibilities include developing and implementing a strategy to meet the Commissioners’ Net Zero by 2050 target as well as working with the investment teams to monitor external asset managers’ RI practices and sustainability outcomes of the underlying portfolio across ESG themes and asset classes. Before joining, she has held RI roles at Tesco Pension Investment, building out ESG integration capabilities and leading on TCFD reporting and Net Zero, and the PRI, where she focused on ESG integration in public markets and the approach to sustainability outcomes. She has previously worked for various consultancies. Sofia holds an MSc in Applied Economics and Finance from Copenhagen Business School and an MSc in Ecological Economics from the University of Edinburgh.
