Pelham Smithers established UK-based Pelham Smithers Associates in 2009 after working in Asian capital markets for 20 years, which consults on global macroeconomic and technology issues, areas where the firm’s technical skills and academic links can provide clients with deeper understanding of investment situations. Previously he worked with ING Barings as their Japanese market strategist and was head of Asian research for TMT specialist Pali Capital.
