Ing-Haw Cheng, Ph.D.

Ing-Haw Cheng is the Maple Financial Group Chair in Derivatives and Risk Management and Professor of Finance at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. He is Research Director of FinHub: The Financial Innovation Hub and Academic Director of Rotman’s Master of Financial Risk Management program. His research focuses on capital markets and the financial system, with recent work on applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning in finance. Prior to joining Rotman, he was on the faculty at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. He holds a PhD and MA in Economics from Princeton University and a BS in Mathematics from the University of Chicago.
