James Crowley

James “JC” Crowley is a Corporate Vice President in New York Life’s Talent Acquisition team, managing recruitment for the company’s Investments Group. His team is responsible for staffing primarily New York Life Investment Management, its MainStay Investments and boutique affiliates, NYL Investors and Annuities business lines. Joining the company in 2011, Crowley was initially brought on to execute expansion initiatives for Investments retail distribution and product management. He subsequently took on larger roles, managing staffing nationally for Insurance Service Organization, and eventually becoming recruiting manager for New York Life’s Insurance Group before rejoining Investments in 2014. Prior to New York Life, Crowley recruited for Geller & Company, a financial advisory firm, RIA and family office. He began recruiting at Robert Half International as part of a career shift from newspaper journalism. Crowley holds a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification, and BA in Communications from Loyola University Maryland.
