Lan Lou

Lan Lou is a finance major at Fordham University who has previously interned at McKinsey and will be joining Neuberger Berman as a Summer Portfolio Analyst. Lan used to be an engineering student and owned a patent in the field of medical devices.

What was your biggest take-away from your participation in the CFA Research Challenge regarding the investment profession?

My biggest take-away from participating in the CFA Research Challenge is that when evaluating a company or an industry, talking with people from the industry would effectively enhance your understanding, facilitate your analysis, and improve productivity. The keys when communicating with these experts are to ask the most critical questions and to find out what is different from the consensus.
