Mark Stern

Mark Stern joined Cresset Partners, a private investment affiliate of Cresset, in 2017 and leads the Real Estate team. Mr. Stern is responsible for sourcing acquisitions in the United States. Since 1995, Mr. Stern sourced in excess of $2 billion of acquisitions nationwide focusing on multifamily properties. For nearly 16 years, Mr. Stern led several teams at Waterton, a leading real estate investing and property management company, and most recently served as Senior Vice President of Acquisitions. Prior to Waterton, Mr. Stern served as Manager of Acquisitions and Dispositions for Moran and Company, where he was responsible for the Midwest and Denver regions. Before that, Mr. Stern was Vice President of Acquisitions for TVO Realty Partners. During his five-year tenure at TVO, the company purchased 12,000 units with a capitalization of approximately $1 billion. Mr. Stern began his career as an analyst with RREEF. Mr. Stern is currently a member of the Urban Land Institute’s Multifamily Green Council as well as on the board of Weiss Memorial Hospital. Mr. Stern received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Economy at The Colorado College.
