Global Head of Foreign Exchange Strategy

Bob Lynch, Executive Director, is the Global Head of Foreign Exchange Strategy for J.P. Morgan Private Bank. In this role, he focuses on developing the Private Bank’s foreign exchange views and developing investment strategies to implement them. Bob develops the team’s annual outlook for currencies and commodities globally, and disseminates supporting analysis through publications, presentations and meetings with the Private Bank’s investment professionals and clients.
Bob is a member of the Global Markets Council, which comprises thought leaders across the Private Bank’s global investments business. The Council is a forum for asset class specialists and portfolio managers to share ideas and insights across markets.
Bob previously worked at HSBC in New York as the Head of Americas FX Strategy, where he was responsible for helping to formulate the bank’s forecasts, published and contributed to a variety of currency-specific and multi-asset publications and engaged regularly with the bank’s institutional and corporate client base. Prior to that, he worked as a senior currency strategist at BNP Paribas in New York, forecasting and producing research on G10 and Latin American currencies and meeting with the investment bank’s clients.
Mr. Lynch regularly presents at industry conferences and is frequently quoted in the financial press. He received a bachelor’s degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia, majoring in finance.
