The group also comments on proposed new financial reporting standards (before Regulators and Standard Setters). \nJOIN THIS GROUP \nFeatured Speaker:Jonathan Labrey\, Chief Connectivity and Integrated Reporting Officer \nJonathan Labrey is Chief Connectivity and Integrated Reporting Officer at the IFRS Foundation\, leading the team responsible for the technical development and market adoption of the Integrated Reporting Framework and Integrated Thinking Principles. He has over 17 years of experience working in public policy\, corporate governance and regulation in the accountancy and corporate reporting fields. \nMr. Labrey was responsible for global policy and strategy at the IIRC from 2012-2021 and the Value Reporting Foundation from 2021-2022. He led the public affairs and policy team at the ICAEW from 2004-10. From 2010-2012 he was head of communications at the UK’s Financial Reporting Council. He graduated in Law from King’s College London and started his career in the UK Parliament as an advisor to several Members of Parliament.

Reda\, National Managing Director & Service Line Leader with Gallagher’s Human Resources & Compensation Consulting practice \nJames F. Reda\, National Managing Director & Service Line Leader with Gallagher’s Human Resources & Compensation Consulting practice\, works with both public and private organizations in planning\, creating\, and implementing incentive programs. Jim also advises companies on incentive strategy\, including long- and short-term senior executive employment arrangements\, change-in-control metrics\, business combinations\, shareholder rights\, and corporate governance issues. A recognized expert in the area of integrating incentive and corporate strategies\, Jim brings nearly 40 years of experience in the area of senior executive compensation. Prior to forming his own firm in 2004\, Jim worked at three major executive compensation consulting firms. \nHe began his executive compensation consulting career at The Bachelder Group in 1987\, where he worked for nine years. Jim earned a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University and an M.S. degree in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology\, Sloan School of Management. Jim is a member of the American Society of Corporate Secretaries\, WorldatWork\, The National Association of Stock Plan Professionals\, National Association of Corporate Directors\, and the New York Society of Security Analysts\, for which he serves on the Corporate Governance and Shareholders Rights Committee. DESCRIPTION:Featured Speaker:Stephen Brown is a senior director in Fitch Ratings’ corporate finance group.  He has lead analytical responsibility for Fitch’s coverage of North American auto manufacturers and suppliers. \nPrior to joining Fitch in 2004\, Stephen spent six years at United Airlines where he was responsible for the financial planning and analysis functions of the company’s marketing\, sales\, reservations\, and North America divisions.  He also worked in the airline’s capital planning group.  Stephen began his finance career at General Motors’ Delphi Saginaw Steering Systems division\, conducting financial analyses on the unit’s worldwide operations. \nStephen earned a BS from Northwestern University and an MBA from the University of Rochester’s Simon Business School. \nGroup DescriptionThe Financial Reporting and Analysis Group follows issues and events affecting financial reporting\, corporate disclosure\, and accounting standards. The group also comments on proposed new financial reporting standards (before Regulators and Standard Setters). \nThe next meeting of the Financial Reporting and Analysis Group will take place on Monday\, October 13 at 6:00 PM.  It will start with a review of upcoming programs and a discussion of potential future programs.  At 6:30 PM\, we will be joined by our speaker\, Stephen Brown\, Senior Director\, Fitch Ratings\, who will discuss the recent Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing of First Brands Group\, an automotive aftermarket supplier and maker of FRAM oil filters and Anco windshield wipers.  The First Brands bankruptcy filing followed the collapse of its debt prices and allegations of irregularities with respect to its accounts receivables-backed loans.  Mr. Brown will help us assess whether this event has potential implications for financial reporting (i.e. accounting for off-balance transactions)\, and the private lending and asset-backed securities markets. \nJOIN THIS GROUP

Wendy is also currently a member of the SEC’s Small Business Capital Formation Committee and is active in many AICPA and NYSSCPA and CAQ committees and task forces. \nThrough May 31\, 2024\, Wendy was the leader of Mazars USA’s National Quality & Risk Management team. The group responsible for the firm’s compliance with professional standards and related rules and regulations\, risk management\, independence and ethics and engagement performance; and provided technical support to the firm’s accounting and auditing practice through consultation\, education\, quality reviews\, and monitoring of compliance with policies and procedures. Wendy also held leadership positions as a member of the Quality & Risk Management Board at the Mazars Group.
