Ken Flechler
Ken Flechler is the Chief Administrative Officer for Pike Corporation. He is responsible for organizational development, human resources, employee safety, operational compliance, risk management, internal and external communications, procurement, sustainability, government and international affairs, corporate development and charitable giving.
Mr. Flechler joined Pike Corporation in 2009 as the Vice President of Environmental, Health and Safety where he led the transformation of the safety program to best in class status, which includes a 70% reduction in the OSHA recordable rate. He has also represented Pike at safety and international development throughout the world including the World Safety Summit in Istanbul, the EU-US Conference on Health and Safety at Work in Brussels, the U.S. Government Energy Trade Mission to Africa, and the African Growth and Opportunity Act Forum at the U.S. State Department. In 2013, Governor Haley appointed him to the South Carolina Energy Advisory Committee.
Prior to his current position at Pike, Mr. Flechler was Chief Consulting Officer at SKP International, Inc. and worked with Fortune 100 companies globally on safety, compliance and ethics issues. From 1998 to 2007, he was Vice President of Safety and Compliance for Comcast. During his tenure, he directed a staff of 500 professionals in employee safety, environmental program, operational compliance, human resource compliance, business continuity, sustainability and facility management for over 3,500 facilities and an annual budget exceeding $100M budget the all Comcast entities (Cable, Entertainment, Sports Teams, QVC). He also participated as a member of the mergers and acquisitions team evaluating and closing almost 70 acquisitions in 8 years.
Mr. Flechler continues to work with federal and state regulators and legislatures on proposed rulemaking and legislation. He has authored and presented numerous papers around the world.
Mr. Flechler holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from Bellarmine University and is a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional, Certified Utility Safety Administrator and Certified Utility Safety Professional.
