Michael J. Pagano, Head of Insurance Portfolio Management

Michael Pagano is head of insurance portfolio management at Voya Investment Management. In this role, he is responsible for developing and implementing full-service customized investment solutions across all asset classes for Voya’s proprietary general account as well as Voya’s external insurance clients. Prior to joining Voya, Michael worked at New York Life Investment Management where he headed the portfolio specialist group focused on growing and managing the external asset management business of the firm’s fixed income investors group. Prior to that role, he traded and managed investment grade credit portfolios for both proprietary and external insurance company assets. Michael also has experience managing multi-sector taxable fixed income portfolios at Fiduciary Asset Management and as an institutional structured product salesman at Merrill Lynch and Bank of America. He earned his BA in economics and political science from Amherst College and an MBA from The University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business.
