The event is intended to shine a spotlight on the drivers and current status of ESG integration in fixed income, focus on developments at the largest credit rating agencies with regard to ESG integration in the assessment of creditworthiness and explore how investment management firms are considering ESG risks and opportunities in their fixed income investing. Also the subject of exploration during the panel discussions are some of the unique challenges faced by fixed income investors given the added complexities introduced by fixed income securities, the paths to addressing these and expectations for 2019 and beyond. As the challenges involved in integrating ESG factors vary between investment-grade credits and non-investment grade credits, including private and emerging market firms, separate panel discussions will focus on these two market segments.
