Patrick Durbin
Pat is a partner at PwC and serves as a Deputy Chief Accountant in the firm’s National Office. He has over 33 years of experience serving board, C-suite, and senior management level executives across a variety of industries and geographies both in the US and internationally and possesses deep expertise in financial reporting under US GAAP and IFRS.
Currently, Pat leads a team of 40 partners and directors in PwC’s National Accounting & SEC Services Group who are responsible for advising audit engagement teams and clients in the technology and pharmaceutical sectors on complex technical accounting and SEC reporting matters, as well developing the firm’s interpretive guidance on revenue, compensation, inventory and income tax accounting. Previously, Pat led the firm’s Industrial Products audit practice in the New York Metro region and served as the lead audit engagement partner on several SEC registered audit clients. Earlier in his career, Pat completed a two-year Practice Fellowship at the Financial Accounting Standards Board and spent two years on an international assignment in London as part of the firm’s global capital markets practice.
Pat graduated from Penn State in 1991 with a B.S. in Accounting with Honors and with Highest Distinction and is currently a CPA licensed to practice in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Outside the firm, Pat is a former chair of the External Advisory Board for the Accounting Department at Penn State. He resides in Randolph, New Jersey, with his wife, Stefanie, and in his free time he enjoys golfing, skiing, spending time with his family and walking their golden retriever.
