Binay Chandgothia, CFA

Mr. Chandgothia is a Managing Director – Portfolio Management on the Principal Financial Group’s General Account Investment team.  Mr. Chandgothia also serves on Principal’s Investment Committee, its Sustainability Council and chairs the International Investment Committee for General Accounts.

Mr. Chandgothia previously headed global asset allocation for Principal Asset Management in Asia for ten years. Prior to that, he served as Chief Investment Officer for Principal entities in Hong Kong, responsible for overseeing global investments. He joined the Principal Financial Group in 2000 in India and was the Deputy Chief Investment Officer of Principal’s Indian Mutual Fund operations before relocating to Hong Kong in 2005.

He holds a Financial Risk Manager certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals as well as is a Chartered Financial Analyst holder.
