Gregg Lampf, IRC

Gregg Lampf is an Investor Relations executive with 30 years of experience, predominantly in high technology. Currently, he serves as Vice President of Investor Relations at Ciena, where he has helped grow the company’s market cap from $1B to approximately $50B and expand sell-side coverage. Ciena was recently added to the S&P 500 in February 2026.  Gregg is a recognized thought leader in integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) within Investor Relations, serving on Ciena’s AI Steering Committee, NIRI’s AI Policy Working Group, and the IR Impact (formerly IR Magazine AI) Working Group.  He regularly leads discussions on AI in IR across numerous forums.

As a thought leader, he has participated in numerous articles and frequently speaks on topics ranging from AI integration to crisis management and communications, with his insights featured in publications including the Wall Street Journal and IR Impact.

Gregg and his team were honored with IR Impact’s 2024 inaugural award for ‘Best Use of Technology, including AI.’ He is consistently recognized among the top IR professionals by Institutional Investor (2014-2025), and Ciena’s IR program has been identified for its outstanding work in technology, ESG communications, and crisis management.

Throughout his career, Gregg has successfully led investor relations programs at various companies, where he has consistently built and transformed IR programs while contributing significantly to strategic financial communications, crisis management, and market positioning efforts. He is also passionate about sharing his experiences, frequently speaking to university students and industry peers about investor relations and the evolving impact of AI on the profession.

Gregg is married, has two children (one of whom is in the IR field), and enjoys time with his young Labrador Retriever, Sylvia.
