The CFA Institute Research Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that sponsors independent, in-depth research on current issues important to investors and investment professionals around the world.
Research Foundation content can be downloaded for free by all CFA Society New York members.
Monographs
About Monographs
In-depth books, usually 80 to 160 pages in length, that are distributed electronically and in hardcopy. The RF currently targets publishing 3 to 4 monographs each calendar year. Popular monographs usually receive 40,000 to over 100,000 downloads during the first few years of publication
Literature Reviews
About Literature Reviews
Shorter content pieces, usually 20 to 80 pages in length, that features a review of a specific topic and includes an annotated bibliography so the reader can pursue additional research if desired. All literature reviews are distributed electronically, and some are distributed as hardcopies. The RF currently targets publishing 1 to 3 lit reviews each calendar year and popular literature reviews usually receive 20,000 to 80,000 downloads during the first few years of publication.
RF Briefs
About RF Briefs
Short papers of approximately 10 to 30 pages meant to provide easy to consume content of global and regional interest. All RF Briefs are distributed electronically and some are distributed as hardcopies. The RF currently targets publishing 5 to 8 Briefs each calendar year. RF Briefs are a new product first published in 2015.
