Investors rely upon financial statements to analyze their current and proposed investments. Investors rely upon the audit process to verify the reliability of these statements. Auditors are professionals trained to verify financial statements, but as we all know, unreliable financial statements are a recurring problem. We will have a series of experts explaining the state of today’s audit process, how it has and continues to changes over time and what signals investors should look out for in evaluating financial statements to help identify possibly inaccurate statements.
