State of the Society
2020 was a year of transition for many - CFA Society New York included. Yet, thanks to the hard work, resilience and dedication of our superlative staff and volunteer leaders, we continued producing world-class content throughout the year. And very importantly, we are entering 2021 with appreciable enthusiasm for our ongoing plans, our new ideas, and (with great hope and optimism) a relative return to normalcy.

From November 4-6, CFA Society New York, in conjunction with CFA Society Peru and other CFA Societies from Latin America, presented LatAm & Caribbean Asset Owners Series Virtual Summit 2020, featuring over 35 of the region’s leading asset owners and foremost investment authorities.
CFA Society New York Announces Sameer Jagetia as New Chief Executive Officer
The Board of Directors of the CFA Society New York (CFANY) announced today they have appointed Sameer Jagetia, CFA as Chief Executive Officer of CFANY, effective October 29, 2020. Mr. Jagetia will assume the day to day leadership of CFANY.

CFA Society New York and the CAIA Association Launch Asset Owner Series™ Virtual Keynotes
CFA Society New York (CFANY) and the CAIA Association (CAIA) have announced the launch of the Asset Owner Series™ (AOS) Virtual Keynotes, an online-only iteration of CFANY’s premier educational event. The first live webinar is scheduled for Monday, May 4 from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. EDT and is free for CFA Society and CAIA members worldwide.
CFA Society New York Announces Chief Executive Officer Departure
CFA Society New York announced today that its CEO, Daniel Dagen, CFA, has left his position, effective March 31, 2020. Mr. Dagen served as CEO of the Society since 2015 and contributed to the Society for many years prior to that as a member and volunteer.
