Mr. Adam Banai, is the Director of the Central Bank of Hungary’s Financial System Analysis Directorate where he oversees the operation of four departments responsible for financial stability. Mr. Banai reports directly to the Central Bank of Hungary’s Financial Stability Board and to the Monetary Council in every financial stability and macroprudential policy related issues. Prior to that Mr. Banai was the Head of Applied Research and Stress Testing Department where he was responsible for managing the execution and development of semi-annual top-down solvency stress test of the Central Bank of Hungary. As the Team Leader of the Stress Test Team, Mr. Banai was supporting monetary policy decisions with reports on the most important financial stability issues (e.g. lending activity, portfolio quality, and liquidity risks) and their effects on the real economy Mr. Banai holds a Ph. D in Corporate Finance from Corvinus University of Budapest
