Alan Schlesinger

Alan Schlesinger was an innovator in developing both the corporate and high yield bond markets during their growth period from the 1970s to 1990s and has been an active market participant for over half a century. 

After starting his career at Merrill Lynch in 1969, he went on to manage High Yield trading desks at L.F. Rothschild, Bear Stearns, UBS, BNP Paribas, and Donaldson, Lufkin, Jenrette.  At DLJ from 1987-93, Alan was instrumental in the firm’s ascension to the top of the High Yield league tables and was recognized as one of the industry’s top market-makers. Since 2001 he has been founder and Managing Partner of Alchemy Management LLC, a private multi-strategy macro investment fund.
