Alexey founded Upgrade Capital to scout extraordinary young talent for investment firms in search of new sources of alpha. The firm launched and ran the Ben Graham Fellowship on behalf of the Value Investing Congress.   Upgrade Capital focuses on exploring uses of new data and novel analytics in traditional investment research, involved in some of the most successful quantamental build-outs to date. Alexey also co-runs Augvest, a buy-side alternative data community. Previously he worked as a trader with JPMorgan, where he most recently led the successful development of the firm’s first proprietary platform for managing its global converts business. He holds Bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Statistics from NYU Stern, where he was involved in some of the earliest efforts to use NLP in systematic trading.
