Andrea Marmolejo is co-founder and Managing Partner at Principium, an investment platform that invests in public and private markets seeking an integrated financial, environmental and social performance. Prior to co-founding Principium, Andrea served as principal at Candesic, where she was responsible for setting up thematic investment funds focused on energy, water, and environmental sectors. Over her 20 year career, Andrea led equity research teams at Goldman Sachs and Kleinwort Benson, and worked as a portfolio manager for private equity and hedge funds Caxton Associates and Regency Capital. Andrea started her career at McKinsey & Co. as a strategy consultant, and later on became an advisor to Ashoka fellows, a worldwide network of social entrepreneurs set up by McKinsey partners. She also became an advisor to the World Bank, and to Foundations pursuing sustainable investments. Andrea is a Harvard MPA, and she serves as board member and trustee at the International HIV/AIDS Alliance.
