Andrew Xiao, Ph.D., CFA, is a portfolio manager at GE Asset Management, where he is a member of the Emerging Market Equity team and has been managing GEAM’s China Equity strategy since 2012.  Andrew managed GEAM’s China A-share strategy on an-interim basis from 2012 to 2013. Prior to that, he co-managed a 130/30 long/short large-cap equity portfolio for two years and managed a technology sector portfolio from 2006 to 2012. Before joining GEAM in 2006, Andrew was a portfolio manager on a global equity fund and a global technology fund at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, where he started as a technology equity research analyst in 2000.  Earlier in his career, Andrew held senior technology positions at IBM Research Center and Intel Corp.  Andrew holds a BS in Physics from Nanjing University (China), a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University, and an MBA from New York University.  Andrew is also a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
