Anna Garcia, CFA

Anna Garcia is Co-Founder and Partner at Runway Venture Partners. She has been an active member of the New York’s startup eco-system since 2013 as an angel investor and mentor to three accelerators: ERA, Barclays/Techstars and Canadian Technology Accelerator. Prior to entering venture capital, Anna spent 17 years in financial services and held senior roles at Merrill Lynch, Jefferies and JP Morgan in the areas of capital markets, investment banking and asset management. Anna ran a top-ranked fixed income origination and hedging business at Merrill Lynch during most of her Wall Street career. She left banking to found AGM Ventures and focus on early stage investing and startup advisory full time. Anna subsequently co-founded Runway in 2016. Anna’s notable investments include Primary, Owlet, Trendalytics, Culinary Agents, Trumid and Liveoak Technologies. Staying true to her financial services background, Anna closely follows the developments in fintech.
