Anthony Thai, CFA

Anthony Thai joined the Office of University Investments at Cornell University in 2018. He assists the chief investment officer in the management of the university’s long-term investments. Before joining the university, Thai was a member of the investment team of The Wallace Foundation for six years where he contributed to the asset allocation, risk management, and the selection and monitoring of investment managers.  Additionally, Thai served as an economist for five years at the economic consulting firm Compass Lexecon – a subsidiary of FTI Consulting – where his responsibilities included analyzing financial and economic market data and performing asset valuations for clients. Thai received an M.B.A. in finance and accounting from the Stern School of Business at New York University. He earned his undergraduate degrees in economics and statistics from the University of Chicago.
