He most recently led Renaissance Capital’s African Equities distribution in North America. Ashley previously built a successful frontier emerging market Equity franchise for Exotix in the USA and started his career at Credit Suisse in London before moving to New York with the firm. His clients include mutual, hedge and private equity funds based in the USA, Europe and Africa. Ashley maintains strong relationships with government officials, stock exchanges, and senior company management across various industries in Africa, and has visited the continent on many occasions alongside some of world’s largest financial institutions. Ashley has also secured and hosted high level meetings with presidents (Ghana/ Kenya) and major corporate CEOs.
