Avantika Saisekar

Avantika is the Director of the Sustainable Investments Division at Wafra Inc. Wafra is an investment adviser with $24 billion in assets under management across a range of investment strategies, including strategic partnerships, alternative finance, real assets, real estate, liquid markets, private equity and venture capital. In her role, she is responsible for conducting ESG diligence and value creation projects across Wafra’s investment platform. She works closely with Wafra’s investment teams to implement ESG integration strategies and report on findings to clients. Previously, Avantika served as the Head of Institutional ESG Product at Northern Trust Asset Management. She has received formal training from the US Sustainable Investment Forum and currently serves on the assurance working group at the United Nations Principals of Responsible Investing (PRI), where she is advising the UN on the standards of assurance the PRI must mandate on signatories. The final findings were published in a UNPRI paper, “Introducing Confidence Building Measures to PRI signatories”. She earned her B.A. in Economics from Claremont McKenna College.
