Brendan O Connell, CFA, CIPM, ACA was most recently the Director of Investment Reporting at The Atlantic Philanthropies, a private foundation. He was responsible for assisting the Chief Investment Officer in the management of a $4 billion portfolio invested entirely in alternative assets. Among his responsibilities, he contributed to due diligence and monitoring of investment managers, risk management, treasury, and investment operations. Prior to joining The Atlantic Philanthropies in 2007, Brendan was the Director of Financial Reporting at Nielsen. He has written for the CFA Digest and The Financial Professional’s Post. He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Cork and received his CFA charter in 2005.
