Bruce Feibel, CFA
As Head of Product and Strategy, Mr. Feibel is responsible for progressing State Streets data and analytics tools and services helping asset managers and asset owners understand their investments and evolve their businesses. Global Exchange is State Streets newest and fastest growing business, technology focused, and fuelled by technology skills and academic research partnerships.
Prior to this, Mr. Feibel acted as Head of Performance & Risk Analytics for BNY Mellon Asset Management where he was oversaw the delivery of performance, attribution, and risk analysis supporting executive oversight across all investment management boutiques globally. He led a team of performance, technology, and data operations experts creatingthe technology platform and providing ongoing analysis of the firm’s strategies.
Prior to this, Mr. Feibel acted as Head of Strategy for the BNY Mellon Asset Servicing Global Financial Institutions business. He assisted senior executives with the development and execution of initiatives aimed at expanding key corporate relationships. He managed the GFI client solutioning team. The team is responsible for architecting service solutions for complex new Outsourcing prospects. Mr. Feibel also established and led the product management function for the companies OnCore middle office outsourcing platform.
Mr. Feibel joined BNY Mellon via the acquisition of Eagle Investment Systems, a provider of technology to investment managers. He joined Eagle in 1999 responsible for thedevelopment of Eagle’s Performance Measurement and Attribution offering. Subsequent to that he oversaw product management, software development, quality assurance, and support as Executive General Manager of Eagle PACE. Eagle PACE is an industry-leading investment data management and portfolio reporting platform. Mr. Feibel acted as product head for Mellon Analytical Solutions guiding the technology integration of theformer Russell/Mellon into Mellon. He then served as Eagle’s Chief Strategy Officer overseeing key client relationships and the development of new products. He establishedEagle’s financial instrument and investment strategy engineering team, which collaborateswith clients to process and analyze derivatives complex strategies.
Prior to joining Eagle, Mr. Feibel worked at State Street Global Advisors (SSgA). He was responsible for implementing technology supporting the performance measurement and client reporting functions. Mr. Feibel began his career at State Street Bank as a fund accountant, business analyst, and then technology project manager where he gained global experience via expatriate assignments in Europe, Australia, and Japan.
Mr. Feibel is a recognized industry expert on investment performance measurement and investment data management. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Performance Measurement. He has been a CFA Institute volunteer guiding enhancement of the CIPM exam curriculum. He is past member of the CFA Institute Risk Working Group and CFA Investment Performance Council, bodies responsible for the ongoing development of the standards guiding the marketing of investment track records to institutional investors. He is the author of the book Investment Performance Measurement and co-author of Complying with the Global Investment Performance Standards, both by Wiley.
Mr. Feibel earned his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Florida and holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
