Carole Crawford, CFA, NACD.DC

Carole Crawford’s diverse career experiences span the investment, finance, and technology industries. She is a Forbes 50 Over 50 honoree for Investment and the Founder of Fincap360, a global firm that architects next-generation family offices and investment ecosystems, focusing on strategy, governance, restructuring, and scalable operating models.

She is the former Managing Director, Americas, at CFA Institute, where she led the organization’s largest global region. Previously, she was a Vice President and Senior Consultant at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management, managing client portfolios, and launched the SMA and Alternatives business across the Chicago and Washington, DC offices.

She currently serves on the board of Lockhart, a fifth-generation middle-market family enterprise, contributing to governance and long-term strategic oversight. She is a board member and former Chair of 100 Women in Finance, and founded the organization’s 100WFinTech Initiative. She is a former board member of CFA Society New York, where she founded the Fintech Thought Leadership Group, and organized numerous conferences on AI, Data Science, Crypto Assets, Blockchain, and Venture Capital.

She served on CFA Institute’s Board of Regents for the Seminar for Global Investors and the Capital Markets Policy Council. She previously served on the U.S. Department of Commerce MBDA Family Office Investor Council and received NYC Fintech Women’s 2020 Inspiring Fintech Female Leadership Award. Carole was a reviewer for CFA Institute’s Handbook on Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Applications in Investments. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan.

She completed Harvard Business School’s Investment Management Workshop, the Wharton School’s Certified Investment Management Analyst Program, obtained the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Directorship Certification, and is a CFA Charterholder.
