Charles Smith

Charles Smith is a managing director in the Advisory Services practice of Ernst & Young LLP (EY). He has over 20 years of experience in the financial services sector, primarily in wealth and asset management. Charles has deep knowledge in wealth and asset management product areas and is an inventor on eight US patents on process and product designs. Over the last 15 years, Charles has worked extensively with many of the top 10 US financial services institutions with a focus on several key wealth and asset management areas: product strategy and platform design, retirement, operating model development, client reporting, process improvement, requirements definition, and service delivery strategy.

Prior to joining EY, Charles had senior leadership roles at Fiserv/CheckFree, Misys (now Finastra) and Thomson Financial (now Refinitiv). He led product management/marketing teams focused on delivering wealth and asset management technology solutions designed to enable financial services clients, and he has managed relationship management teams focused on working with C-level executives on utilizing technology solutions to grow and streamline their businesses.

Charles has an MBA from Columbia Business School and a AB in economics from Dartmouth College.
