Chelsea Smith, MBA

Chelsea Smith leads Bernstein’s Family Office Services practice, helping expand the firm’s presence in the family office space by drawing on deep expertise in investments, wealth planning, and family governance.

With 25+ years in financial services—including roles at Northern Trust, Allstate Investments, and Goldman Sachs—Chelsea brings experience in equity trading, institutional sales, and asset management for ultra‑wealthy families and their foundations. She holds a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Passionate about empowering women and mentoring young adults, Chelsea is active in the Notre Dame Women’s Club and Kellogg’s Women’s Leadership Council. A wife and mother of three college athletes, she also enjoys floral design, great food and new flavors and traveling.
