Christopher D. Thompson, CFA

Christopher (Chris) Thompson is a Senior Director at NYL Investors where he helps to manage a $2 billion Impact Investing portfolio. Chris joined the firm in 2022 and has two decades of experience in financial services. He previously served as a consultant at an impact investing advisory firm, Avivar Capital. He also served as a Senior Director in Leveraged Finance at Nuveen Investments. Additionally, Chris has experience as a credit analyst at Standard and Poor’s and began his career at JPMorgan’s Investment Bank in the credit division. Chris earned an undergraduate degree from the Brooklyn Campus of Long Island University and an M.B.A from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
