Cynthia Mei Balloch

Cynthia Mei Balloch is an Assistant Professor of Finance at LSE. Her research focuses on the role of financial institutions in the macroeconomy, with a particular focus on market-based alternatives to traditional banks, sovereign and corporate lending markets, and alternatives investing. Cynthia received her Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University, and previously worked at JP Morgan and the International Finance Corporation, both in Hong Kong. She earned her B.Sc., cum laude, from Harvard College, and a Master’s in Public Administration in International Development from Harvard Kennedy School.
