David Chiang
David Chiang is Managing Director and Global Head of Private Equity & Real Estate Fund Investments at a family office. Mr. Chiang has 20 years of private equity and investment experience working for some of the world’s leading financial institutions. Previously, Mr. Chiang was a Managing Director and member of the Global Investment Committee for the Private Markets Group of Wilshire Associates, where he was responsible for origination, due diligence, and monitoring of partnership and transaction opportunities for a $6 billion PE fund investment division. Prior to joining Wilshire Private Markets, Mr. Chiang worked as a Principal for ACON Investments and as a Vice President for the Government of Singapore (“GIC”) Special Investments, the private equity arm of one of the world’s leading sovereign wealth funds, where he served as a member of the U.S. Investment Committee and focused on U.S. buyouts and global distressed investments. Additionally, he worked for Catterton Partners, a leading private equity firm focused on the consumer industry. He began his career at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette’s Investment Banking Group, where he focused on mergers & acquisitions, technology and covering financial sponsors. Mr. Chiang received dual BA degrees in Business Economics and Psychology from Brown University in 1997 and an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management in 2006.
