Didier R. Lopes

Didier Lopes, Co-Founder and CEO of OpenBB, an open-source investment research terminal initially developed for personal investor use that’s grown to attract interest from the financial services community. The company has Reddit and HackerNews acclaim leading to coverage by VentureBeat. OpenBB boasts 25k GitHub stars and over 150k installations. Didier has secured an $8.8 M seed round for OpenBB, enabling him to expand his team to 20 members. Before OpenBB, Didier worked as a Sensor Fusion Engineer where he worked on algorithms responsible for processing raw measurements into meaningful metrics for users. These algorithms (e.g. Kalman Filter) were initially carried out in Python and then converted into C/C++ to become part of the firmware. He has an MSc in Control Systems from Imperial College London.
