Doug Niemann

Douglas Niemann is Senior Managing Director and Head of Asset/Liability Management and Equity Portfolio Management at The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America. His areas of oversight include derivatives risk management, investment technology, and compliance.Prior to joining Guardian in 2015, Mr. Niemann served as managing director and chief investment strategist in global insurance solutions at J.P. Morgan Asset Management; as managing director and head of asset liability management at AIG Asset Management; and as head of asset liability risk for Zurich Financial Services. He has more than 20 years of investment, risk management, and insurance industry experience.Mr. Niemann holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Northwestern University. He holds the FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.
