Douglas Borthwick
Douglas Borthwick is Co-Founder and Editor of The Bridge, a weekly blockchain intelligence newsletter written for traditional equity investors, IR teams, and corporate finance leaders navigating the convergence of public markets and on-chain infrastructure.
Douglas brings more than 30 years of Wall Street experience to the valuation conversation, with senior roles at Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, and Standard Chartered across trading, sales, and capital markets. He pioneered the first-ever IPO executed on a blockchain, and is the founder of The Insumer Model, an on-chain verification framework spanning 33 blockchains; Skye Meta, the wallet policy engine powering condition-based access for enterprises and AI agents; and TokenCapStack, a blockchain-native cap table management platform built to give private companies and their investors a transparent, real-time alternative to legacy equity administration.
His work sits at the intersection IROs and analysts increasingly need to understand: how tokenized assets, wallet-level data, and AI-driven information flows are reshaping how companies are analyzed, valued, and communicated to the buyside. Through The Bridge, Douglas translates complex blockchain and AI developments into the language of equity research, portfolio strategy, and investor relations.
He is based in New Canaan, Connecticut.
