Douglas A. Burtnick, CFA

Douglas Burtnick has been an equity portfolio manager and analyst for nearly twenty years, most recently at Aberdeen Standard Investments as the Deputy Head of North American Equities.   There he helped to manage a team of fourteen investors and to manage a number of concentrated equity strategies for institutional and mutual fund clients.   In addition, he worked to formalize the use of ESG factors in security selection to drive returns in both long-only and long-short strategies.   Doug lives near Philadelphia with his family, is a CFA charter holder, and is graduate of Cornell University with a degree in Applied Economics and Business Management.  When he isn’t volunteering for the CFA Societies of NY and Philadelphia, Doug’s currently investigating ways to deploy behavioral finance-driven algorithms to generate better equity investment returns.
