Edward F. McQuarrie
Edward F. McQuarrie, Ph.D., is Professor Emeritus at the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University, located in California’s Silicon Valley. From 1985 he taught strategy to MBA students there. After retiring from Santa Clara in 2016, he pursued new research interests in the history of financial markets. His focus is 19th century returns for stocks and bonds and fluctuations in the equity premium. He also writes about retirement income planning. His papers have been published in the Financial Analysts Journal and the Journal of Financial Planning. Projects under way include the fitful nature of size and value effects, sustainable withdrawal rates, and the annuity wager.
