Emily Berger, CFA
Emily Berger, CFA, is Director of Investment Risk Advisory in PKF O’Connor Davies Financial Services group, specializing in customized risk and sustainability solutions for private foundations, registered investment advisors, corporate clients, and family offices. In this role, Emily advises corporate clients on the application of the GHG Protocol and GRI standards to their carbon emissions calculations and sustainability disclosures for both assurance and consulting engagements.
Emily has over 30 years of risk management experience across both the buy and sell sides of the financial industry, including 19 years in various credit risk management roles. Emily previously served as the Director of Risk and Operations at the Rockefeller Foundation, where she was a senior member of the Investments team and responsible for overseeing the activities of the Investments Office. From 2003-2011, Emily was a Senior Counterparty Credit Officer at JPMorgan where she was responsible for the credit, market, operational and legal risk management of a portfolio of hedge and private equity funds. She also held similar roles at Commerzbank and Bankers Trust.
As a Loan Portfolio Strategist at Deutsche Bank, she was responsible for developing and implementing an industry leading economic capital model. Emily started her career in Private Banking at Chemical Bank, where she was a Relationship Manager focused on ultra-high net worth families. Emily earned her B.S. from Cornell University in Applied Economics. She serves on the Advisory Council for Cornell’s Entrepreneurship Program.
