Fiona Bassett is the Global Co-Head of Passive Asset Management and the Global Co-Head of the Product group for DWS Group, formerly Deutsche Asset Management. She is responsible for the development, strategy and implementation of exchange-traded products, passive mandates and solutions across the platform worldwide. Fiona oversees all aspects of the business, from product development through to sales, marketing, finance, legal and compliance. 

In her role as the Head of Products for the Americas, Fiona is responsible for the coordination, development and management of the active and passive solutions at DWS. Fiona is a member of the DWS Americas Executive Committee, which develops and drives strategy for the entire business in the Americas and is also on the Global Sustainable Investing Leadership team, which is responsible for ensuring ESG principles are incorporated all aspects of DWS’s business.  

Fiona joined Deutsche Bank in 2004 to build the structured funds business. Subsequent roles included setting up Deutsche Bank’s fixed income ETF business and liquid alternatives businesses in Europe. She moved to New York from London in 2012 to build out Deutsche Asset Management’s passive business in the Americas. Prior to this, Fiona was a Director at NatWest Financial Markets (acquired by RBS), where she initially focused on FX sales to UK Large Cap and Mid-Cap Corporates and subsequently worked on structuring solutions, including structured retail products. She started her career in a Brand Management role at Procter & Gamble.  

Fiona serves as an ambassador and thought leader for both DWS and the ETF industry participating in a broad range of industry forums including the ICI and Women in ETFs. She holds a Law LLB Hons degree from University of Birmingham (UK).
