Franklin Olakunle Amoo

Franklin Olakunle Amoo is the founding Managing Partner of Baylis Emerging Markets and Chairman of Baylis Digital. Investing in African companies, Franklin serves on a number of company boards. Prior to co-founding Baylis, Franklin spent two decades on Wall Street culminating in his leadership of the Strategic Credit Group at Mizuho Securities USA, reporting to the CEO. Franklin began his career as an analyst in the Media & Telecom Investment Banking Group at Bank of America. A member of the United States’ Presidential Advisory Council for Doing Business in Africa since 2022 and board director for the US-Nigeria Council, Franklin is a special advisor to the Ooni of Ife and to Ogun State Government and serves on the Prep for Prep Associates Council. A Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, Franklin holds degrees from Columbia University and the Wharton School; he was a Howard E. Mitchell and a Venture Incubation Program Fellow.
