Galen Haws, CFA, CAIA

Mr. Haws’ primary responsibilities at Verus include constructing and managing discretionary portfolios (OCIO), performing research and analysis, and working as part of the investment team on the strategy and process for the firm. He is a key contributor to the creation of capital market research and content, including short and intermediate term capital market views.

Prior to joining Verus in 2018, Mr. Haws was the director of investments for the Screen Actors Guild – Producers Pension and SAG-AFTRA Health Plans, monitoring portfolio investments, directing investment operations, and supporting the Trustees in all investment related decisions. Previously Mr. Haws was a senior associate at Lord Abbett & Co. within the institutional investments group, working closely with the growth equity investment team and institutional clients.

Mr. Haws graduated cum laude from Biola University with a bachelor of science degree (BS) in business administration. He is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charterholder and member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Seattle. Mr. Haws is also a CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) charterholder.
