Greg Cass
Greg Cass is a Managing Director at Barclays in the Sustainable Capital Markets Team based in New York City, leading the firm’s structuring and origination effort for sustainable products in the Americas. Greg began his career at Lehman Brothers in 2007 as part of the Global Finance Advisory (“GFA”) / Enterprise Risk Management Team within the Investment Banking Division. The team moved to Barclays in 2008. GFA provides clients with product-agnostic analytical approaches to traditional corporate finance questions related to capital allocation, capital structure, financial risk management, and cost of capital. In 2019, GFA began to consider the impact that climate change has on businesses, ultimately leading to a more active role in sustainable finance origination in the Americas. Shortly thereafter, Greg formally transitioned to the Sustainable Capital Markets team.
Greg has a BS in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research with a minor in Economics from Columbia University. In addition to his work at Barclays, Greg is also the President of the Central Park Track Club and has served as Executive Board Member since 2010. Greg is also a Vice Chairman and Board Member of the Friends of Columbia Men’s Soccer, an organization that supports and helps organize the current men’s soccer team and its alumni.
