Henrik Jeppesen is the Director of ESG Implementation in the ESG Strategy & Development group at Janus Henderson Investors, where he works across all asset classes and investment teams. He advices on ESG and sustainability integration into investment processes and product design and develops thought-leadership on material ESG and energy transition topics in coordination with the ESG Investment Research and Governance & Stewardship teams.

Prior to Janus Henderson, Henrik was Head of Investor Outreach North America for Carbon Tracker Initiative, an independent financial think-tank, where he advised many of the world’s largest and most influential asset owners investment managers on stranded asset risks, energy transition, and portfolio decarbonization. He worked with investment stewardship strategies and served on the Technical Advisory Group for the Climate Action 100+ initiative.

Henrik has spent more than 20 years in financial services, including equity research sales and equity research covering traditional and renewable energies, consumer goods, transportation, materials and healthcare for SEB Enskilda in New York, Copenhagen and London. Henrik began his career as a buy-side equity portfolio manager for Nykredit Asset Management in Copenhagen.

Henrik holds a M.Sc. in Finance and Accounting and a B.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School, where he also lectured on capital markets and the IPO process. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certificate of Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM), Certificate of ESG Investing, and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations as well as SASB’s Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) Credential. Henrik is co-chair of the CFA Society New York’s Sustainable Investing Group
