Irvin Schlussel

Irvin Schlussel is the Chief Investment Officer at the Diamond Family Office where he oversees all asset allocation and direct investment for the top decile SFO. Mr. Schlussel has over 20 years of experience investing in corporate turnarounds and working as an advocate for creditor/shareholder interests. Previously he served as the Managing Director of Inglesea Capital, the Family Office of the late Andrew Fredman (https://archive.fo/ey7Wk), Managing Partner of Advantage Capital Management, and Senior Analyst for the Xaraf Group within Paloma Partners.

He is currently a board member of the Clovis Oncology Liquidating Trust and the Amyris liquidating trust and an observer of the board at Chicago Bridge & Iron. He previously served on Committees in the following chapter 11 reorganizations: Chassix, Danimer Scientic, Sunedison & Ultra Petroleum,Colt Defense, Garret Motion, Genco Shipping, GT Advanced Technologies, Linn Energy, Patriot Coal Puerto Rico Constitutional Debt Holders and the Puerto Rico Ports Authority.

The majority of Mr. Schlussel’s career has been focused on investment strategies involving corporate reorganization and distressed debt.  He began his career in 2003 as an equity research associate at UBS. Mr. Schlussel graduated with honors in 2003 from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelors in the Science of Economics.
