Jalal Nadeem

Jalal Nadeem is a Director in M&A Advisory at Grant Thornton LLP in New York, where he leads complex cross-border transactions with a focus on financial due diligence and deal pricing mechanisms. A CFA Charterholder and a Master of Laws graduate from the University of Toronto, he blends legal insight with financial acumen to advise corporate and private equity clients—having led over 250 transactions across North America, Europe and Asia, exceeding $50 billion in deal value.

Jalal regularly trains lawyers and investment professionals on complex deal frameworks and has authored thought leadership on tariff risk, ESG in M&A, and transaction structuring.

Previously, at Deloitte Canada, he helped establish the firm’s SPA Advisory practice — a rare specialization focused on the legal and financial mechanics of transactions — and won the firm-wide Deloitte Innovation Challenge for creating a prototype system to enhance M&A deal documentation review.
