James A. Coppola – Jim is a currently CFA Institute’s Director of Institutional Relationships for the Americas. As the head of Relationship and Client Management for the region, he leads a team of professionals responsible for promoting the CFA Institute’s core values, programs and policies as well as strengthening existing and developing new institutional relationships in the U.S., Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Jim has spent 25 years as a finance professional with commercial and investment banking experience globally. He has held a variety of senior business development and relationship management roles at Citibank, Natixis and Nomura in the U.S. and Asia/Pacific. Jim holds a BSc degree, cum laude, in Economics from NYU and a Master’s in International Relations & Development Economics from Columbia University. He also completed Harvard Business School’s Investment Management Workshop.
