James A. Mitartonda

James Mitarotonda, is the Chairman, President and CEO at Barington Capital Group, L.P., an activist investment firm. He is also the Chairman, President and CEO of Barington Companies Investors, LLC, the general partner of Barington Companies Equity Partners, L.P., an activist investment fund. He is a director, since 2015, and Chairman of the Board, since 2016, of The Eastern Company, a company that manages industrial businesses that design, manufacture and sell unique engineered solutions to markets. He serves on The Eastern Company’s Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, the Capital Allocation and Investment Committee and as Chair of the Executive Committee. Over the past five years, Mr. Mitarotonda has served as a Director of Rambus, Inc. from March 2021 to April 2022; Avon Products, Inc., a global manufacturer and marketer of beauty and related products, from April 2018 to January 2020; OMNOVA Solutions Inc., a global provider of emulsion polymers and specialty chemicals, from March 2015 to April 2020; and A. Schulman Inc., an international supplier of plastic compounds and resins, from October 2005 until August 2018. Mr. Mitarotonda served as an advisor to HanesBrands Inc. from November 2023 to October 2024 and again beginning in January 2025. He served as a Special Advisor to the Board of L Brands, Inc. from April 2019 to February 2022. He was a consultant to Matthews International Corporation from December 2022 to November 2024 and a consulting advisor to Rambus Inc. from April 2022 to April 2023.
