James Gutman

James Gutman is a senior analyst at S&P Global Energy covering energy transition finance with the Investing in Energy/Energy Capital Insights team. He has been primarily responsible for publishing the monthly Investor Sentiment deck, now Energy Capital Quarterly, along with other publications such as the Power Edge and a recent paper, “From data to decisions: Accelerating Clean Tech with AI.” Previously, Gutman was senior associate in the renewables and infrastructure deal advisory team at KPMG and continues to be a member of Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario). A graduate from McGill University in Montreal, Gutman is currently pursuing a Master of Science in sustainability management at Columbia University, New York. He also leads the New York City chapter of Young Professionals in Energy (YPE).
